Proceedings

The Eighty Second Annual session of the Piedmont Conference of the Original Free Will Baptist convened at Bethany Free Will Baptist Church in Wadesboro, North Carolina on July 26, 2025 with the Reverend Richard Marsh as the host pastor.

The business session started at 10:00 am on July 26, 2025 with the opening

hymn, “I’ll Fly Away”. The Conference called to order by the Rev. Audie Tucker. Welcome of Conference was given by Host Pastor Rev Richard Marsh. Devotions were given by Sister Dana Hinson-Smith Titled: “Bigger is not always better” Scripture: Jeremiah 6:16

The Roll of the Churches and Ministers were taken by Assistant Clerk Angela Garrett there were 6 Churches in attendance with 12 ministers present.

Executive Board:

Rev. Junior Bingham opened in prayer

Angela Garrett read minutes from April 26th 2025 meeting.

OLD BUSINESS: Discussed about the brick paver being ordered in honor of Sister Carlee Stallard. It has been ordered.

OFWB Convention Revising Articles of Faith and Church Covenant:

The Committee is still working on both the Articles of Faith and the Church Covenant. There were no updates at this time.

NEW BUSINESS: Brought up the elections and nominations for the meeting. Moderator Rev. Tim Burton stepping down, nominating Rev. Audie Tucker for Moderator. Nominating Rev. David Adkins for Vice Moderator. Nominating Rev. Tim Burton to take Rev. David Atkins place on the Ordaining Council. All other positions are staying the same.

Resolutions 

 We here by resolve to give Bethany FWB Church a rising vote of thanks for hosting the 82nd Annual Session of the OFWB Piedmont Conference.
