PART-TIME STUDENT MINISTRY ASSISTANT 

Emerge Student Ministries 

Stoney Creek Church, Goldsboro, NC Compensation: $1,200 per month 

ABOUT THE POSITION 

Stoney Creek Church is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered individual to serve with Emerge Student Ministries, helping disciple and lead middle school and high school students toward a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a part-time ministry position designed for someone who is actively pursuing ministry and desires hands-on experience serving students, teaching God's Word, leading volunteers, and participating in the life of the church. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Serve consistently with Emerge Student Ministries on Sundays and Wednesdays 

• Build meaningful relationships with middle school and high school students 

• Preach and teach during Emerge services and student ministry gatherings 

• Help prepare and communicate biblical lessons and messages 

• Lead and participate in small groups and discipleship opportunities 

• Assist with student ministry events, retreats, trips, and special programs 

• Encourage and equip student leaders and volunteers 

• Help create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment for students 

• Participate in the overall ministry and mission of Stoney Creek Church 

• Be available for additional ministry responsibilities and events as needed 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Required: 

• Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ 

• Must be actively pursuing ministry through education, training, experience, or a clear vocational calling 

• Must agree with and support the biblical beliefs and mission of Stoney Creek Church 

• Must demonstrate a heart for teenagers and a desire to see students grow in their faith 

• Must be dependable, teachable, and willing to serve as part of a ministry team 

• Must be comfortable preaching and teaching God's Word 

Preferred: 

• Previous student ministry experience 

• Experience teaching or preaching 

• Currently enrolled in or pursuing a ministry-related degree or training 

• Experience serving in a local church 

SCHEDULE 

The primary ministry schedule will center around: 

• Sundays-Student ministry involvement, worship, discipleship, and church responsibilities 

• Wednesdays-Emerge Student Ministry programming, teaching, small groups, and student engagement 

• Additional hours may be required for special events, retreats, mission trips, conferences, and other Emerge activities. 

COMPENSATION 

$1200.00 per month 

This position is intended to provide meaningful ministry experience while allowing the individual to grow in their calling and development as a ministry leader.
