Minister's Program
The Original Free Will Baptist Minister’s Program was established “to provide for our aged, retired, and infirmed ministers in some form of superannuation program and to offer to our active ministers some program whereby they may help provide for their future security and retirement. To help the minister prepare for retirement, the Minister’s Program has designated and implemented a Tax Sheltered Annuity Plan for ministers and church workers. The Minister’s Program has also developed the Minister’s Widows’ Fund. When a participant in the Fund dies, his widow receives the contributions. Should the spouse die first, the minister would receive the proceeds. Post-graduate loans and Hardship Grants are also provided by the Program. Seminars on taxes, retirement, financial planning and investments are offered. The Basic Compensation Package has been developed as a guide for ministers and churches as they make decisions that affect the minister’s compensation. |
